Pastor Dwayne Pearson

Christ the Cornerstone Community Church was founded during the month of August 2000. The inaugural Pastor was Pastor Otis Adams. The current Pastor, Dwayne Pearson and his wife, Sister Dosie Pearson were two of the eleven original members of the founding body of the new church. At that time Dwayne Pearson was not a minister, although he had just previously received his call by God to preach the Gospel.

After two years of service on just about every ministry in the church he was approached by Pastor Adams. He licensed Brother Pearson as a minister and offered him the position and responsibilities of Assistant Pastor. Approximately two years after that the ministry staff was summoned to an urgent meeting. During this meeting the staff was informed that Pastor Adams would be leaving California and moving back to Dallas, Texas to care for his mother. A decision was made. Pastor Pearson was to serve as the interim Pastor. This would suffice while a newly formed church committee could seek out and hire a full time Pastor.

After some eight months, the committee made a suggestion to the congregation. They proposed that Pastor Pearson be allowed to continue to lead the church. The votes were cast and to Pastor Pearson's surprise over 95% of the congregation were in agreement that Pastor Pearson should become Christ the Cornerstone's next Pastor.

Today this church has a membership of over one hundred members and is continuing to grow.
There are 10 ministries that thrive within our church. We see no end in sight to the expansion of the vision God has for and is doing in other areas of our church. Our vision is "Seeing through the eyes of God by living committed to the Gospel."  (Hebrews 12: 1-2)
